On Sunday, July 24, 2005, the Nova Scotia German Shepherd Dog Club (NSGSDC) held their annual All-Breed Puppy / Dog Picnic at the LWF Community Centre Ball Field in Windsor Junction! (This event should actually be renamed as it includes dogs of all ages!!) As in the past years, thank you so much for the opportunity to use your facilities. They are superb for our event and appreciate you allowing us to hold our picnic on your site.

Many activities take place during the span of the day. These include games such as a relay race, "musical chairs," and Simon Says. Everyone is a "winner" during this course of the day and it is hoped that no one left empty handed! We also had an obedience demonstration provided by Shawn Kelly. This demonstration not only let people see what you and your dog can do together, but provided an opportunity for people to ask specific questions that they had about their dog. Thank you, Shawn, for your time and for sharing your knowledge with others.

As well, thank you to the members of Hot Dogs for the agility show. Watching dogs and their owners work together and have a good time is always fun to watch!

Our canteen and Silent Auction were a huge success. Thank you to those who supported our Club by either buying a hotdog or a hamburger, or by bidding on a special auction item. As well, thanks to those of you who purchased a ticket on the beautiful dog bed!

Again, the NSGSDC would like to thank you for coming to this picnic with your dogs. Without you, this day would not be a successful one. The socialization aspect of this event is so beneficial to the dogs (and owners!), and truly is the most important thing gained on this day.
